STRENGTH THROUGH TRADITION

Honestly, it depends on the student.  We have on special occasions started training new students at the age of three. Normally we do not accept students until they are at least a mature six.  There are sometimes exceptions to this rule but generally six is the earliest. 

Absolutely not, our studio is a firm believer that if you want to train and learn something new, we are not going to force you to be here against your will. We bill monthly by automatic debit and if we receive notice prior to the first of the next billing month we will terminate your membership agreement immediately.

Easy answer... You're going to sweat, you're going to laugh, you're going to do things that you did not know you were capable of doing, you're going to wonder what you got yourself into and you're going to wonder why you waited to start.  Expect to start kicking and punching day 1. You're going to hit the ground moving. Gyms are boring, our instructors are going to encourage you to keep pushing, to find an indomitable spirit you didn't know was there!

The timeline for becoming one of our black belts varies depending on the amount of hard work and dedication you apply to the discipline. We have had students that in as little as 5 1/2 years have achieved this goal. The average student we always say takes between 5-8 years to obtain this goal. We have students in our studio that received their black belts over 40 years ago and are still training to this day. Black Belt isn't the end, for some it's just the beginning!

The easiest question we get asked. First, we have proven track record for success in individual and team growth. Second, we build a relationship with students that extends outside of the studio. Third, not everyone wants to go compete, these are the students that build the foundation of the studio and understand that Tang Soo Do is more than just a sport. Our studio builds character, self-confidence and encourages growth through mental and physical discipline. Forth, all of our instructors are here for one reason. Teach the discipline of Tang Soo Do in a modern traditional setting, while trying to develop each individual student to their maximum potential. Lastly, our instructors are here to protect and maintain a safe environment for every student's wellbeing. 

At first, it's FREE! One of our instructors will let you join in during a beginner "No Belt" class. This will give you an idea of what we do, how classes are run and how our instructors interact with our students. A representative from our studio will arrange times and days you can participate. Once you have decided that DSK is the right choice for you, we will sign you up. Sign up takes about 5 minutes, super easy, we will fit and give you your uniform for training as a student. The uniform is free when you sign up.

1 Student: $135.00 per month

Add 2nd family member discount: $90.00 additional

Add 3rd family member discount:  $80.00 additional

Family of 4 or more-member discount: $350.00 Total
